James Benjamin Gontarski is an Education Advisor with LLG National Law Group, where he supports clients facing institutions that are unresponsive or difficult to navigate. He was drawn to this work because he believes in accountability, fairness, and the steady advocacy it takes to help individuals stand up to systems that often move too slowly to correct their own mistakes.
James earned his law degree from the University of the District of Columbia, David A. Clarke School of Law, graduating magna cum laude and ranking in the top ten of his class. During his time there, he served on Law Review, earned several academic honors, and gained valuable experience through the Whistleblower Protection Clinic and the Youth Justice Clinic.
His internships with the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, along with his work in several law offices, gave him a practical understanding of administrative and institutional processes. These roles helped shape the thoughtful, steady approach he brings to client advocacy today.
One of James’s strengths is his ability to meet people where they are. He brings patience, perspective, and a grounded understanding of how overwhelming institutional processes can be. His background helps him relate to clients who feel unsure of what to do next, and he works to give them clarity while keeping their goals at the center of the conversation.
At LLG National Law Group, James focuses on education-related matters and cases involving complex institutional procedures. He prefers to work in areas where he has developed deep familiarity, ensuring that clients receive guidance that is both informed and practical. He values clear communication, steady progress, and a firm commitment to doing what is right, even when the process is slow.
Outside of his professional work, James enjoys spending time with his fiancé and their two dogs, exploring the outdoors around the D.C. area, and unwinding with a good horror movie. Although he is a private person by nature, his work reflects the principles he holds most closely: integrity, consistency, and a genuine desire to support people who need a strong advocate at their side.
