Schalor I. Blackshear III, Esquire, is an Associate Attorney at LLG National Law Group who brings curiosity, resilience, and a people-centered focus to his work. He originally pictured a future in public leadership and imagined himself serving in the White House. That early ambition led him to study the paths of national decision makers and, eventually, to pursue a law degree. Once he entered law school, his goals shifted significantly. He realized he was most drawn to working directly with clients, helping them navigate difficult moments and providing them with a steady advocate they could trust.

Schalor enjoys the pace and variety of his work at LLG. He is energized by the chance to handle a wide mix of matters, including family law, criminal defense, civil rights, and education cases. Every file gives him a chance to learn something new, understand someone’s story, and step into a role where his guidance can make a real difference. He is especially motivated by cases where a person’s liberty, livelihood, or stability is on the line, because these clients often need clarity, patience, and someone who will take their concerns seriously.

His experience spans several courts and practice areas. Schalor has tried an adoption case in New Jersey state court and a federal civil rights case in the Western District of Texas. His background also includes divorce matters, contract disputes, temporary restraining orders, criminal defense, education issues, licensing cases, and personal injury claims involving motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall injuries, and premises liability. He drafts pleadings and motions, handles discovery, defends depositions, and helps shape case strategy from start to finish.

Before joining LLG, Schalor gained valuable experience with a New Jersey litigation firm, where he assisted with civil defense work, asbestos matters, and motions practice. Through his pro bono work, he represented clients in misdemeanor criminal cases, negotiated settlements, and reviewed real estate contracts. His background is also shaped by years of military service as both a Paralegal Specialist and a Cables Maintainer Installer in the Army Reserves and National Guard. These roles strengthened his leadership, attention to detail, and ability to stay calm when situations move quickly.

Schalor holds a J.D. from Drexel University’s Kline School of Law, an M.P.A. from Rutgers University, and a B.A. in Psychology from Kean University. He is an active member of his church community and a proud member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Inc.

Outside work, Schalor enjoys working out, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He brings a steady and thoughtful approach to every matter he handles, taking care to guide people through the legal process with clarity and respect.
